Hike Fort Rodney, Pigeon Point, Gros Islet

This is an easy hike. When you reach the top you will see Martinique on a clear day, and you will get a fantastic view of the town of Gros Islet. On your way down, relax in the park and enjoy the calming ocean breeze, and you might want to pack a picnic.

Visit the Drive-in Volcano, Soufriere

One of most visited sites in St. Lucia, a must see.  When you go, pay the extra to take the sulfur infused bath from the volcano water. The town Soufriere has one of the richest history in the St. Lucia, and it was one of the most important town during French colonisation.

An Island Tour: The best way to see St. Lucia

This is a longer trip that will take you through most of the villages.  You will past through banana plantation though not longer in the glory days of the 1990s.  While in this tour you might be want to pace yourself to make time to eat a fish meal in a restaurant in Soufriere.   On you way back to Castries make a stop at the Reef in Vieux Fort to enjoy a cold drink before your hour drive.

Visit and Eat at the Castries Market, Castries

The Castries Market is locally known at the People’s University. Ask anyone why it is called the People’s University.  It is a great place to grab lunch. It is fine for you to try to a local fruit while at the market. The market is also the place get some great cinnamon, bay leaves and souvenirs for friends and family.

Visit Immaculate Conception Cathedral, Castries

This is a great place to sit, relax and reflect. You will see the art work of one of St. Lucia’s finest artists, the late Dunstan St. Omer.
